Synergy Bioscience is a start-up company serving pharmaceutical and medical device companies by providing pharmaceutical product R&D, laboratory testing, and quality compliance consulting services. We have a need for a talented Calibration & Maintenance Specialist.
This is a 12+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential.

Position Summary:
- Data entry of equipment data, serial number, calibration history, and calibration specifications into the CalMan system
- Coordination with lab personnel to ensure all equipment is properly identified and entered into CalMan
- Will work with department manager and Quality Assurance to ensure calibration frequency as well as other work order information is properly setup and maintained in the CalMan system.
- Monitors and reports on vendor performance and determines vendor/contractor selection based on performance, cost, safety and quality service requirements.
- Reviews and approves service records and reports, including but not limited to certificates of calibration, executed protocols, work orders and vendor reports, for completeness and accuracy.
- Schedules and Maintains preventive maintenance records for R&D equipment with in CalMan.
- Will issue equipment logbooks and maintain logbook database for laboratory equipment requiring an equipment logbook.
- Key Performance Indicators:
- Adherence to *** guidelines for equipment calibration and preventive maintenance
- Ensures equipment remains in a calibrated state
- Ensures PM's are performed in accordance with equipment PM schedules
- Ensures CalMan is updated to reflect the current calibration/preventive maintenance status.
- Languages: Fluency in English essential
- Work Experience: 1-3 years of direct experience in documentation control preferably within a Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent data entry skills
- Must be proficient with Excel
- 1-3 years prior experience working with equipment calibration and requirements associated around calibration in a FDA regulated GxP environment
- Prefer someone who has experience working with Calman
- Familiar with various measurement units, such as, meters, kilograms, seconds, amperes, kelvins, candelas, moles, ohms, Pascal and hertz
